Broadway or Bust is a historical walking tour performed by actors that explores the Broadway theatre district in New York City. The tour starts in Shubert Alley and lasts for about two hours. During that time, we'll wind and twist through the crowded Times Square streets seeing things that even New Yorkers don't know exist. Along the way, we'll discuss how the area grew to become the commercial theatre hub of the world. We'll take a look at the theatres that housed all the magic and learn the behind-the-scenes stories of some of our country's most beloved performers and the shows that launched them to stardom. We'll also follow along as hometown girl, Suzie Wanamaker, struggles to make her dreams come true here in the Big Bad Apple. And when it's all said and done, you'll leave knowing where your favorite show is playing and the secret ins and outs of scoring those hard to come by tickets. And hey, this is New York City, so be prepared to meet some pretty interesting characters around every corner.
It's a tour and a show - all rolled into one exciting experience!
So 'come on along and listen to the lullaby of Broadway' with us. You'll laugh, you'll cry - it may not be better than Cats, but it's pretty darn close!
