Justin was born and raised on a tobacco farm in a small town in Virginia called South Boston. It was there that he learned many skills that he would later find valuable as a musical theatre performer. Skills like shooting rabbits, feeding cattle, watering plant beds, and driving tractors. In his spare time, he was taking dance classes at Patricia's School of Dance and singing at every festival and street fair within a hundred mile radius. It was during this time, at the age of 12, that he won 2nd place Overall at the Showstoppers National Dance Competition. Justin is very proud of this achievement and tells the story of his win frequently at local pubs.
After performing in a few high school plays and community theatre productions, he decided he would like to further his studies of theatre on a collegic level. His decision was based in part because of the large amounts of attractive girls he had encountered during his early years of performing and the fact that he had no other skills what-so-ever. Justin attended Elon University where he received a BFA in Musical Theatre and a dance minor. It was here at Elon where his skills and passion for theatre really developed. A few scholarships and award nominations later, Justin set out into the world to become a professional actor.
For over 10 years, Justin has traveled around the country performing in various theatrical productions. He has worked in New York City and Los Angeles as well as Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Missouri. Some of his favorite experiences include touring the country for a year and a half with a fantastic production of Anything Goes, working for Disney Entertainment Productions for over three years performing in such shows as Snow White: An Enchanting Musical and Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular - both at Disneyland, and being a part of a re-envisioned production of the Cole Porter classic, Can-Can, at the Pasadena Playhouse. He also has directed and choreographed several shows in Chicago and Florida and is featured on the cast albums of That's The Ticket! and Watch Your Step.
After living on Sunset Boulevard in LA and State Street in Chicago, Justin now resides in New York City, just off of Broadway. He is absolutely thrilled to start this venture with his super talented friends. He would like to thank his Mom, Michelle, and cat Louis for putting up with all of his many shenanigans!
