Shane Portman
(Chuck - Haunted Broadway)
Shane Portman likes to start his bio off with his name. He received a
BFA in theatre from Point Park University in Pittsburgh where some of
his favorite roles included Billy Bibbit in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's
Nest and Buster Keaton in the world premiere of The Rest Stop.
He was a founding member of the sketch comedy group, The Animal Club,
who were seen at twelve national sketch festivals, the Austin
International Film Festival, the Second City's Donny's Skybox (winning
four Donny Awards), and at Caroline's on Broadway. Shane was also a
member of The Chorus, a long-form improv group, at iO Chicago. And
before moving from the Windy City, he co-wrote and starred in The
Story Of Francis And Wild Gil (A Francis And Wild Gil Story) at
Chicago's Gorilla Tango Theatre.
Since moving to the Big Apple (as people call it), he has played Gary
in the web series “Guy Friends” and David in Positively Fourth
Street's short documentary, “Memoirs Of A Youth Gone Mad.” He is
currently workshopping a series of short stories from his blog into a
stage show, Allister Cromley's Fairweather Belle (Bedtime Stories For
Grownups To Tell). www.allistercromley.blogspot.com
